Career and Technical Education
Students access Career & Technical Education as elective courses at MVHS. CTE courses fall under six program areas: Business & Information Technology, Family & Consumer Sciences, Health & Medical Sciences, Marketing, Technology Education & Engineering and Trade & Industrial Education. For CTE courses not offered at MVHS school site, students are eligible to be bused to West Potomac, Edison, and Hayfield for academy courses.
Genesys Works
Genesys Works is an organization that partners with high schools with a large number of economically-disadvantaged students to provide internship opportunities with local businesses. Students receive stipends when accepted into the program. Traditionally, students have been hired as full-time employees with assigned businesses after graduating from high school. Application required for students in their junior year.

ASVAB
MVHS offers the ASVAB test twice during the school year for students looking to enlist in the military. Scores on the ASVAB serve as a predictor for future academic and occupational success in the military.

Family Connection
is a web-based service for high school students and parents to access a wealth of information to help students decide on post-secondary options. Students can access college and career exploration information. Students and parents login to Career Connections through blackboard.
