PSAT Day for our Juniors
On Thursday, October 29, 2020, registered 11th grade Mount Vernon High School students will participate in PSAT/NMSQT test. General information about the PSAT/NMSQT is available on College Board’s webpage. The PSAT Student Guide is also a good source for general information, testing tips, and practice. For students who are not testing, October 29 has been designated as an asynchronous learning day. (Students taking the PSAT will not miss live, synchronous lessons.)
What should my student bring to school for the PSAT test?
- A picture ID
- A mask that covers your nose and mouth – Masks must be worn the entire time students are in the building
- Two or more No. 2 pencils with erasers (not mechanical)
- Graphing Calculator – A list of approved calculators can be found here.
- Water and Snacks – Snacks may be consumed during breaks. We request that snacks are peanut free.
Please visit the following FCPS website to review information about health and safety protocols for PSAT testing. Students will enter the building through Door 4 (the rock entrance). Please park in the parking lot by door 4 to drop off and pick up students. Doors will open at 7:30 am to begin student check-in, and testing will begin by approximately 8:15 am.
Students who indicated they will use FCPS bus transportation will be contacted with bus stop information. Grab and go breakfast and lunch options will also be available to testers.
Detailed information about PSAT logistics and the testing schedule will be emailed prior to test day. If you have questions, please contact our Assessment Coach, Mrs. Tran at @email.
